It is now heading the outer Solar System. The comet is not periodic with an eccentrity close to 1 (hyperbolic) it will not return or it will but we won't see it (many thousand years). The comet shouldn't currently be a difficult target in a sensitive wide field camera, well located in the southern sky (integrated mag about 6). Visit HeavensAbove site to get a localization chart, binoculars would be enough to have a glimpse at it before it dims plunging in the deepths of the Solar System.

Kind regardsJuan Lacruzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06603189794673740783noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1453400491434292278.post-2910182149912386652009-02-24T23:17:00.000+00:002009-02-24T23:17:00.000+00:00then we are talking about its perigeon?then we are talking about its perigeon?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1453400491434292278.post-48663040578214231852009-02-24T12:49:00.000+00:002009-02-24T12:49:00.000+00:00According to the MPC the comet passed the periheli...According to the MPC the comet passed the perihelion on T 2009 Jan. 10.6396 TT and now approaches the shortest range to the Earth.Juan Lacruzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06603189794673740783noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1453400491434292278.post-31207423115737583352009-02-23T23:56:00.000+00:002009-02-23T23:56:00.000+00:00Tonight comet Lulin passes through its perihelion ...Tonight comet Lulin passes through its perihelion at 0.41 AU.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
