Apollo object 2012 KO18
NEOCP object TK048F1 has been confirmed in observations from La Cañada Observatory (among others) on 2012 May 22.89 UT, this resulted in a new apollo object with provisional designation 2012 K18.
Moving at 6.4 arc seconds per minute at the time of the observations the individual exposures were just 10 seconds long to have the object untrailed in the images to provide good astrometry. At mag 19.5, 60 images were added in three stack to get high S/N detection levels resulting in fairly low residuals:
120522 J87 0.1- 0.4+
120522 J87 0.0 0.0
120522 J87 0.2+ 0.0
120522 J87 0.2+ 0.5+
Being a NEO continued observations are desirable.

NEOCP Object SYB6475 = COMET C/2011 Y3 (BOATTINI)
NEOCP object SYB6475 found by Andrea Boattini in the course of the Mount Lemmon Survey was observed on the night of 2011-Dec-26 from La Cañada.
This is a cropped and zoomed (2X) detail of a stack consisting on the co-addition of 28 images tracking the object's movement which were taken centered on 2011-12-26 22:50 UT, the total exposure time is 56 min (2 min each)
The object shows a round coma about 10 arc seconds in diameter with a tail extending about 35 arc seconds in position angle 235 deg (south west), the false colour rendition below tries to bring out the faint features.

COMET C/2011 Y3 (BOATTINI)
A. Boattini reports his discovery of another comet on CCD images taken
with the Mount Lemmon 1.5-m reflector ....,
... J. Lacruz (Madrid, Spain) writes that images
taken with a 0.40-m Ritchey-Chretien reflector at La Canada on Dec. 26.94-26.96
show a diffuse nuclear region with a round 10" coma and a short fan-like tail
extending about 35" toward p.a. 235. ...
The published orbit asumes e=1, a parabolic comet with perihelion (q=5.5 AU) beyond the orbit of Jupiter.
